For Coaches
Retiring population
Countries all over the world have a large population reaching retirement age. By 2030, the youngest Baby Boomers will have turned 65. 10,000 Americans turn 65 every day. In the U.K., 65+ is the fastest growing age group.
1 in 3 struggle
with retirement
Retirement is a significant transition and, for some, a very difficult one. While many hope to delay retirement, as many as 50% are pushed to retire, sooner-than-planned.
Designing a fulfilling retirement
We have researched retirement challenges and wellbeing. An understanding of these issues enables coaches to further support clients in designing their own fulfilling new lifestyle.
Are you working with clients who are in or near the retirement transition?
Work often provides various benefits for wellbeing, which can impact the adjustment to a satisfying new life in retirement. Studies show that approximately 1 in 3 people struggle with retirement. Through research on retirement adjustment, we have identified retirement-specific issues that tend to bubble up after leaving work behind, so that retirees can be better prepared for a smooth transition.
With the Retirement Life Coach Certification, you will gain research-based insights into the social and psychological side of retirement, with strategies for supporting clients in this transition. This will enable you to deliver specialized coaching that goes to the heart of the issues your clients experience in the transition to retirement.
Who is the Retirement Life Coach Certification for?
The Retirement Life Coach Certification is ideal for those who already have coach training or experience, and are looking to provide more specialized coaching for clients in the retirement transition. This certification enables coaches to focus on areas that are unique to the retirement transition, and that are most relevant to each clients’ characteristics and circumstances.
